Hoot Hoot

Here's a peek of what I made for my partner Michele

This sweet felt owl which you saw on my earlier post here (**add link**)
Pattern from 'Australian Homespun' Vol. 11 No. 7 Issue 86 Magazine, there are cute little felted Ornaments called 'In the Round Ornaments'.

I couldn't resist embroidering a sweet little owl hanging too
And to keep with the owl theme - I bought Michele this vintage card & an owl charm & also included a doily & candle.
I can't believe there are 2 months left of our Year of Enchantment (YOE) themed swapping.  It has been so much fun & a challenge each month to make something new & different to what I would normally make.  I also feel very special to be the only Australian in the swap as the other ladies are Americans & have welcomed me warmly and have lovingly shared with me their talents & crafts.

I love the owl theme - we saw an owl on Friday nigt driving back from the Eppalock spill way - it was so graceful and big! Great that you have made so many new friends around the world Nj

I am so sorry, Natalie. I am thinking I thought you were away, so I did not post or comment about recieving your YOE owl package. I have my owl and little embroidered cutie hanging with the rest of my ornies from YOE and all of the things you sent me have their special place. The vintage owls with other vintage stuff etc. I just had not gotten around to posting it on Yoe either. Please forgive me. I have just been so swamped. Glad you had such a good time on your vacation.

I adored this theme since I really love owls! My husband Dean saw an owl in our neighborhood a couple weeks ago while jogging. He said it was silent and that the only reason he looked up was by seeing the dogs look up into the sky...which he thought odd. He was so excited, he said it was huge! I love that they are still around.
